Real-World Evidence
Real-world evidence (RWE) supports healthcare decision-making to optimize every stage of the development and evaluation of new healthcare interventions and policies. Authorized by Statistics Denmark and the Danish Health Data Authority, we have full access to extensive Danish register data that provides unparalleled insights into patient populations, healthcare services, and demographic, socioeconomic, and psychosocial variables etc. Together with partners we can conduct RWE studies for the entire Nordic area.
Our services include:
- Epidemiological Studies: We conduct early-stage analyses to investigate patient demographics, disease burden, and unmet need, and post approval studies to analyze treatment patterns to uncover trends and better understand health outcomes in the real world.
- Economic Studies: Our team estimates the societal and economic impact of diseases, evaluating healthcare resource use, productivity losses, and the broader impact on patients’ families and public services.
- RWE-based Analytics: By combining RWE and AI-driven models we can improve the way healthcare data is analyzed, allowing for more personalized medicine, early identification of treatment patterns, and better understanding of long-term outcomes beyond what clinical trials can provide
NIHE helps our clients generate the right RWE to meet stakeholder needs with confidence. Our team’s academic competences in epidemiology, econometrics, and biostatistics and experience in handling different types of data sources allow us to offer comprehensive insights, bridging the gap between evidence from clinical trials and everyday healthcare practice. Whether assessing the burden of disease or evaluating the costs of effectiveness of a treatment, NIHE’s RWE services deliver meaningful, actionable evidence to support policy, business, regulatory, and clinical decisions.
